Q: We’re considering extending our Victorian house, which is listed, with a conservatory. Should we be worried about obtaining consent?
A: There is no reason why a listed property cannot have a conservatory. A specialist company will have experience in working with listed buildings and will be able to advise you on a suitable design, and apply for and obtain the necessary consents on your behalf. By using a firm which offers a complete bespoke service you will ensure the structure reflects the age and style of your property and is constructed using materials which are sympathetic to it. An established and reputable company will be able to guide you through every aspect of the process, from the preparation of full working drawings and securing the relevant permissions to manufacturing and installation. They will employ all trades necessary and manage the job carefully from start to finish making sure your conservatory installation is as hassle-free as possible.
