"Our conservatory was built in just 4 weeks"

A family-owned business, set within Glenearn House in the heart of Crieff, Yannick and Shari saw the potential to expand their B&B business and small dining lounge into a classy bistro-style restaurant with a French culinary twist, that could accommodate more covers, while retaining its relaxed and intimate atmosphere, all year round.

Keen to emanate quality as well as ensure the conservatory could be delivered on time and within budget, Mozolowski & Murray became the obvious choice.

Before they took the decision to expand, Yann’s restaurant could accommodate up to 30 covers a night. The conservatory has enabled them to do up to 75 covers a night meaning they got a return on their investment within the first year.

When asked about how using Mozolowski & Murray benefiting their business Yannick said:

“The first concerns when expanding your business are schedules, time, cost and outcome.  The huge plus for us was that M&M offer a fully integrated approach where they literally manage everything from initial concept to completion and post completion.

“They designed our conservatory, scheduled our project, applied and secured planning, built and installed it and painted it before handing us the keys in just 4 weeks. Their professional in-house team meant we didn’t need to worry about managing anything. We really couldn’t fault them.”

A relaxed dining experience with a touch of class

With a strong reputation to build upon, Yannick and Shari wanted to invest in a conservatory extension that would complement the existing Victorian style building while ensuring Glenearn House stood out as a commercial business in what is predominantly a residential area.

Commenting on their first encounter with Mozolowski & Murray, Shari said:

“Their vision and experience came through straight away as they immediately captured the essence of the project and what we were trying to achieve.

“They accommodated the design we wanted which was fairly intricate and included a combination roof, Velux style glass roof panel and an intricate glass panel design. We also wanted two openings in the existing wall to connect the working kitchen to the restaurant so our guests and chefs enjoyed the atmosphere of a working kitchen and happy restaurant. So, in terms of the bespoke design, nothing was a problem.

“In fact, they went the extra mile in sourcing the stone we wanted from Spain, so it would match the existing internal stone wall. And the results are stunning.”

Before they took the decision to expand, Yann’s restaurant could accommodate up to 30 covers a night. The conservatory has enabled them to do up to 75 covers a night meaning they got a return on their investment within the first year.

This cosy but stunningly designed space has made the perfect setting for small weddings, private functions and intimate dinner parties.

State of the art materials were used to ensure that the restaurant was warm in the winter and cool in the summer, the perfect temperament for restaurant guests to remain comfortable all year round. In fact, regular guests will often call ahead to request their table be within the conservatory irrespective of the time of year.

In keeping with existing style of building yet creating a unique aspect and dining experience, Mozolowski & Murray’s level of quality, professionalism and commitment to delivering a first-class customer service has helped Shari and Yannick realise the full potential of their business.  8 years on, the restaurant is bustling and looks like new.

When asked if it has been a good decision:

“It has totally transformed our business and we haven’t looked back. Choosing a reputable company who could deliver the quality and bespoke nature of our project was key for us and they didn’t disappoint.  Eight years on and we are still receiving special booking request for the conservatory. Without doubt our best decision.  If were were looking to further expand, we wouldn’t choose any other company to deliver it.”
