Employability Minister presents Investors In Young People Award at Scotland’s Leading Conservatory Firm in Kinross

Mozolowski and Murray, Scotland’s leading glass and timber structure specialists, have today been presented with the prestigious Investors in Young People Award (IIYP) by the Minister for Employability and Training, Jamie Hepburn MSP.  The Minister presented the award to a group of young employees at the company’s Kinross manufacturing base, as he toured the factory and met with their manufacturing and construction teams.

An independently owned business employing over 60 staff, apprentices and young people, Mozolowski & Murray has a highly skilled and trained workforce with over 30 years’ experience in manufacturing and designing luxury bespoke glass and timber structures.

With a proud record of Investors in People Awards, this latest IIYP achievement demonstrates the firms continuing commitment to investing in its staff and providing opportunities for young people to develop trades and skills, in a highly competitive industry.

Congratulating Mozolowski & Murray on this fantastic award, the Minister for Employability and Training, Jamie Hepburn MSP said:

“The Scottish Government is committed to bridging the gap between education and industry, and businesses like Mozolowski and Murray have a crucial role to play in this process.

“We supported more than 128,000 new Modern Apprenticeship starts in the last Parliamentary term, and I have recently announced plans to deliver on our ambitious commitment to supporting 30,000 Modern Apprenticeships starts per year, by 2020. This means even more people and employers will be able to benefit from work based learning and apprenticeships.”
