The brief

Our clients wanted to create a family living area that would extend from their kitchen into the garden allowing them to enjoy their outside space while giving them an extra room for their young family to play in all year round.

They wanted a space that was versatile and in keeping with the style of their property.

The outcome

We embraced the challenge of a fairly restricted site and designed a fully glazed gabled elevation to capture the garden views and maximise the light. We stepped the dwarf walls down on both sides to create an unusual feature internally which leads the eye to the full glazed front elevation.

The double doors open fully and on sunny days the room is enjoyed as part of the garden bringing warmth and light flooding into the house. By choosing comfortable and practical furnishings our clients have helped create a light filled and adaptable room that everyone can enjoy. Our clients also installed mood lighting and like to burn candles in the evening, so when the children are in bed, they can retreat and relax in their conservatory enjoying it as an adult space too.
