The brief

Our clients had been considering adding a conservatory to their home since buying it 40 years ago.  They were concerned that because the sun hits different parts of the house throughout the day, designing a conservatory that would still allow them to enjoy the sun in the garden but also benefit from the added light and space a conservatory would bring to their home, would not be easily achieved.  So we designed a conservatory that would sit elevated to the right of the property so the patio area and garden could could still be enjoyed when the sun was shining but our clients also had a wonderful glass space that connected seamlessly from the house to the conservatory and from the conservatory to the garden.

The outcome

We proposed a simple design of an elevated projecting gabled sitting area, using fully glazed floor to ceiling panels to maximise the unrestrictive views to the garden while incorporating two large bi-fold doors opening from two rooms into the conservatory that created a flow through connecting the living areas to a beautiful bright space.  Our clients soon realised the potential of our design.

A lovely tiled floor and uplighting make this bright and spacious conservatory a wonderful place to be any time of the day or night and at any time of year.
