Installations Joiner

How long have you been with Mozolowski & Murray (M&M) and what is your role within the company?

I have been with the company for 10 years and 8 months as an Installations Joiner.  I play a central role in constructing all of our products from conservatories, windows and doors to extensions and cedarcrates.

If you could swap your job with anyone else’s within M&M, whose job would you want and why?

I actually wouldn’t swap my job with anyone because when you are able to build someone’s dream, you know you’ve got the best job.

Pick 3 words to describe Mozolowski & Murray?

Pure, dead, brilliant.

What has been your favourite project, day or moment while working for M&M and why?

My favorite project was building a conservatory for a client whose design was simply outstanding.  The job was challenging in both craftsmanship and build but it meant that the sense of achievement and reward in seeing the final result trumped all my other work.  When the client said his expectations had been exceeded, and given his expectations were naturally very high to begin with, it was the icing on the cake.

Do you have an office nickname? What is it?

Grumpy Dave.  Must be cos I don’t laugh at all the bad jokes!!

Do you recall any embarrassing moments at work?

Yes. I was taking out an old sash and case window in Dollar and just as I pulled down the top part of the window, a thick cloud of black dust fell on my head and covered me so all you could see were my eyes and teeth.  This was to the amusement of a passerby who laughed all the way up the road.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?

Charlie Sheen. Aside from his controversial personal life he has starred in and produced some great stuff.

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

Neil Armstrong.  Would be a privilege to interview him.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy spending time relaxing with the family and a bit of cycling helps me to unwind.  But most of all I enjoy watching the mighty Glasgow Rangers and travelling the country watching Gary Anderson playing darts.

Name one thing about you that would surprise people.

I got my first skate board at Christmas!
