Luxury Garden Living is transforming how we extend our homes

Conservatories, orangeries and sun lounges remain a popular choice when looking to expand our homes but as the industry responds to market trends, new and innovative designs are emerging that seem to have one thing in common, they all embrace peoples desire for choice.

Traditionally when considering house extensions, we would think of a simple box style attachment to the existing building with maybe one or two matching windows and brickwork, purely designed for the sole purpose of extending our living space. But as technology and design has evolved, so has the desire for flexibility and choice.

With over 30 years experience in designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke glass and timber structures, innovation has become key to the continued success of our business. Market trends are constantly changing and as an industry leader, our ability to recognise the need for change is what takes us beyond ‘what is doable’ to ‘what more can be done’.

As the demand for bespoke naturally evolved, so did the way we were choosing to live, work and entertain within our homes. With bespoke delivering unique solutions to adding more space and light to individual properties, the demand for integrated living grew and began to dominate the market.  There was a clear shift away from the traditional layout of individual rooms such as ‘the kitchen’, ‘the dining room’ or ‘the living room’ and a move towards combining these rooms to become one big open plan living space, for the purpose of achieving a more sociable everyday living experience.

But as internal walls came down to make way for open plan living, removing external walls soon followed as the growing desire for people to feel a direct connection between their homes and the outdoors became of equal importance.

With our dedicated team of highly skilled designers and craftsman able to constantly adapt to accommodate changing market trends, we have not only transformed thousands of homes through integrated design, but have gone a step further and introduced Luxury Garden Living. Offering a deeper connection to the natural environment, Luxury Garden Living provides a unique opportunity to utilise outdoor space without compromising on comfort and style.

Our garden suites and rooms offer flexible and functional living spaces that can be a more convenient and cost effective alternative to moving house and achieving more space.

All garden suites and rooms are individually designed and manufactured at Mozolowski & Murray’s workshop in Kinross, using quality hardwood that is not only durable and visually attractive, but sourced from managed forests. From traditional to contemporary, with cedar lining to the exterior and National Trust colours for canopies and frames, each bespoke garden room is designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings.  As each one is bespoke you can add a sedum roof or glass canopy and choose from a range of exterior wood finishes to suit your taste and budget.

All garden rooms are fully insulated and heated, and are fitted with electrical sockets and lighting so they can be used comfortably, all year round. They are fitted with bi-fold/double doors, which open out onto the garden to allow plenty of air and light.

Virginia Murray, Director at Mozolowski & Murray, said:

“Many people want practical spaces to accommodate their lifestyles, which is why we are always looking at ways to offer more choice and flexibility. Luxury garden living provides an alternative space, separate from the main building, which can be used all year round and to fit any individual’s needs and style. Whether you are looking for a home office, guest accommodation, a gym, playroom or a relaxing garden retreat, Luxury Garden Living is the perfect solution.”
